Dr. Katarzyna (Kasia) Pilewicz, Ph.D, LCPC, CADC
Doctor of Psychology, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Substance Abuse Counselor focused on providing individual and group therapy that is sensibly tailored to individual needs. She earned her Doctoral Degree in the area of Positive Psychology at Walden University; Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. She is experienced in working with depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction and recovery, grief and loss, and adjustment issues related to everyday life challenges. She specializes in working with adults, adolescents, and couples. Her approach to therapy takes on psychodynamic perspective based on the belief that person must attend to the whole self -mind, body, and environment- to achieve understanding and self-realization. She believes in trusting and professional therapeutic relationship as a base for identifying unconscious conflicts, getting insight, and making a change. Dr.Pilewicz is writing articles on the weekly basis to educate people and lessen stigma related to mental health issues. She is an avid advocate for incorporating positive psychology concepts and strenghts based interventions to treatment.
